a recurring dream (which hasn't surfaced in several years) has me being placed onstage to
perform in a scripted play (often something by stanley kaufman or thornton
wilder) for which i have never seen the script. i have no idea of about
the cues, characters, context, anything. i just have to say what comes naturally.
it's like being dropped into the middle of the vietnam war, but without
the morphine.
